Jeremiah Graziano - Two Time National Champion!!
Kansas
City and the Turner Boxing Club has a
two-time National Boxing Champion! This past week,
Jeremiah competed in the USA Boxing National
Championships at the Olympic Training Center in
Colorado Springs and brought home the gold
medal in the 201lb. heavyweight division. His first
bout on Monday against the
United States Marine Heavyweight Champion
Jerome Amato ended in the second round via a
majority decision (20-0) TKO. On Tuesday, he
fought Region five champion Craig Lewis, stopping
him in the third round by a majority decision (22-2)
TKO. A tough four round bout Wednesday against the
2007 P.A.L. National Championship silver medal
winner Craig Baker resulted in a 25-20 decision for
Jeremiah, which propelled him into the finals. For
the Friday Finals, he faced Region four Champion
Michael Bissett. Jeremiah dominated Bissett from
the opening bell, flooring him twice in the first
round with vicious hooks and straight right hands.
In the opening moments of the second round, Jeremiah
landed a devastating straight right hand that
dropped Bissett, knocking him into a state of
unconsciousness, forcing the referee to stop the
bout.
Please join us in congratulating and supporting
Jeremiah in his quest to achieve three National
Championships in a year. He will be competing in
the KC Golden Gloves Regional Boxing Tournament
March 22, at the Turner Rec Center, 831 S. 55th
